"I expected more," Evelyn murmured to herself, seeing the school. A sigh. "It's the best there is right now, Evelyn Pera," she told herself. I have to stop talking to myself, Evelyn thought, cursing under her breath as she realized a few students staring at her. But then, that was the usual reaction. Perhaps it wasn't her habit of murmuring to herself? Evelyn raised her hand to stroke her cheek. Soft. Silky smooth. She snorted, a sound of discontempt and mockery. Beauty is a curse, she thought. It seperated her from the others. Her feautures were far from 'normal,' and she would have to work harder than ever to make just one friend. It was obvious.
She walked up to a random girl, and introduced herself. "My name is Evelyn. Evelyn Pera." Evelyn smiled her most dazzling smile, hoping to win them over. It was school, after all. How was she supposed to enjoy it if she didn't have any friends? Evelyn waited for the girl's response very, very carefully. Why should she try? Every little movement was obvious to her.
Evelyn realized she had been standing still for quite a long time. It was inhuman. She played with her hair, trying to give off a nervous air. She scratched her nose for a quick second, and she shifted from foot to foot. Was that too much, or was it just enough? Evelyn was pretty sure it was just enough, but maybe it was taking it too far. She wasn't human, after all.
Evelyn pictured herself sighing with frustration in her mind. How she would love to do so. She missed being free, without having to be so cautious all the time. But then, what would she do, without anyone to accompany her? She would begin to kill, once more. She couldn't handle that.

Audrey looked around, butterfly's filled her body. She had to remember to keep moving, to glance at something everyone once in awhile. She had learned that from her newborn years. Audrey just knew she wasn't the only new person here, I mean there were more new pale, beautiful people here than there was flesh and blood. Ohh, blood. As a human passed Audrey's throat burned a little. She restrained herself, she had been a vegetarian for almost two ears straight. She wasn't going to fall off the wagon now.
"My name is Evelyn. Evelyn Pera." Audrey wasn't expecting for anyone to come up and talk to her. Nor was she expecting to see someone with the same pale, smooth skin. And the same gold tint in her eyes. She stood there, mouth barley hanging open in surprise as she stared at this girl. She regained her posture and she smiled back at her. Audrey just had this sense that this girl was like her, a vampire. She just had to be, unless she was wearing contacts or something.
"Audrey Wright. Hello Evelyn." she said in the silky voice she adopted when she was turned. It sounded like silk, though silk didn't sound like anything. Evelyn looked to be alittle younger than Audrey, but that didn't mean anything. They could still be friends. Audrey extended her hand towards Evelyn for her to take it.

Evelyn nearly jumped for joy at the sound of her voice. A vampire! It was obvious. She took her hand and shook it gracefully. It was natural, of course. She smiled again. The gold, the skin, the beauty the voice, the natural air of grace; Evelyn was excited beyond words. Another vampire in this school seemed to be highly unnatural. i have to ask her about it later in private, Evelyn noted mentally.
"Are you new here too?" Evelyn asked in her tinkling, bell-like voice. It was a high soprano, and Evelyn had found it useful; seducing men into doing her will was quite fun to do. Evelyn looked around the two of them for two reasons; out of habit for appearing human, and to see if anybody had noticed that the two of them were...abnormal.

Audrey had the urge to ask her if she was a vampire, but she wasn't going to do that. What if she was just naturally pale? Though she hadn't met anyone so beautiful as her or any of the other vampires she had met when she lived out of town.
"Are you new here too?" Evelyn asked, she had a bell like voice. While hers was just smooth, persuading. Audrey nodded, she grinned. "Yes. Are you?" she asked, curiosity in her voice. She could feel stares boring into her back as she smiled at Evelyn. She really didn't like being stared at, unless it was a boy. Than, she would wink at him and than laugh evilly as he fell head over heels for her. Though when they do ask her out she says yes. To be polite of course. Than the whole night while he's trying to put his arm around her, Audrey's throat is burning like crazy.

"Yes, I am," Evelyn nodded. "So, umm..." Evelyn strained her brain to come up with a sly and clever, but noticable, way to ask this Audrey if she was a vampire. She leaned in and whispered, "Are you wearing contacts?" Not the best, but good enough. What human had natural golden eyes, really? Evelyn nearly giggled when she looked behind Audrey, to see the boys gathering up to stare at them. "Don't turn around," Evelyn warned in a quiet, playful voice, "But there are bunches of guys behind you, staring at us talking." She laughed at the awe-struck faces. She had never gotten over the shock other people felt at the sight of her. She had never gotten over the admiration, and she adored it. She wanted to be loved, even in the simplest way.
Was not admiration a form of love?

Yes..! "So, umm..." Audrey could tell Evelyn was trying to think of something clever, witty to say. Audrey couldn't help but smile alittle at her thoughtful face as she strained to say something. Evelyn had suddenly leaned towards her, as if she was telling a secret. "Are you wearing contacts?" at this question Audrey grinned happily. She was a vampire, of course she just had to be. Every vampire asked that question when they weren't sure of something, it was both human and a vampire question. For if you asked a human the same question they would answer simply, no suspicion at all.
"Yes, and of course you must be too." she said nodding, if this was heading where she thought it was heading than she had a new vampire friend. Than Evelyn giggled, Audrey glanced behind her and saw the boys piling behind each other to get a look at Evelyn and Audrey. Audrey laughed quietly. "Don't turn around," she said and Audrey turned her head towards Evelyn again. "But there are bunches of guys behind you, staring at us talking." Audrey laughed with her also, "I noticed, I kind of cheated and looked." Audrey said with a evil smirk.

Bailey was sitting in her white 2002 Honda Civic (You could tell it had been in an accident or two in it's lifetime, but it still went fast) while re-reading Pride and Prejudice for the 7th (or was it 8th?) time. Her hair was pulled back in a lazy ponytail and she was wearing a red shirt with jean shorts. If you listened closely you could hear a The Killers album playing softly from her speakers, just loud enough so that you could hear.
Suddenly her phone went off, which startled her enough to cause her to throw her book in the air, and she quickly scrambled for the phone. "Hello?" "Hello, I am calling to encourage you to subscribe to People Magazine..." Bailey hung up, frustrated. Her cell was a hotspot for solicitors.
Trying to find where her book flew off to, Bailey stole a quick glance out the window. She saw two abnormally beautiful, but pale, girls whom had attracted a crowd of swooning boys to drool over them. Bailey rolled her eyes, jealous of what these girls had that she didn't. But she couldn't help but notice how pale these two girls were. Bailey looked down at her pasty white arm, then back at their porcelain, near transculant skin, turning her head to the side. How did they get so pale, and yet are so beautiful?

Audrey saw out of the corner of her eye one of the Nerds. She didn't want to call them or her a nerd, it just kind of grew on her from listening to the Elite Girls and everyone around her. She promised herself she was not going to call anyone a nerd, artist ext. How stupid. But it was starting to be a habit for everyone that said they wouldn't. She turned her head slightly to get a better look at who was sitting in the car. A girl, a pony tail in her hair. She had seemed to be looking at Audrey and Evelyn, as if she was jealous.
Audrey didn't like it when people were jealous of her, she liked to be equal with people. She brushed her hair out of her face and turned around to glance at the boys. They had been waiting for her or Evelyn to turn around and look at them. And now she had and they were all smiling at her, saying 'Hey.' or 'Hi.' She sighed and turned back around.

"Yes, and of course you must be too." Evelyn giggled softly, and nodded. "Yes, of course," she agreed, winking quickly enough for a vampire to see clearly, but quick enough for a human to think they blinked.
Bells of laughter ran out of Evelyn's mouthk when she saw the boys. She looked at them and greeted them with a hello. She loved to tease. She loved to watch them go out of their way to be her friend. Her eyes wandered to Audrey. "Hey, you okay?" she asked quietly.

"Hey, you okay?" Evelyn asked, Kiki nodded. "Just thinking. Thats all." Audrey said, putting her right hand in her back pocket of her jeans. The bell was going to ring any minute, but she didnt care if she was late. She didnt know if Evelyn would care if she was late either. She knew the biys would be will be waiting for them to start walking away before they did themselves. So they could stand here all day, and they wouldnt move either. How wonderful.
